300 apprenticeships in ESB – applications by13th March 2015

Cllr. Heney wishes to advise constituents that the ESB is recruiting 300 apprentices over the next five years as part of a €40m investment in the utility’s training and development programme. The ESB says Network Technician apprentices will get 23 weeks of training at the ESB training centre in Portlaoise as part of their four year electrical apprenticeship. This is in addition to 42 weeks spent in Solas and the IT colleges, and significant on-the-job training segments. The programme is open to candidates who have successfully completed their Junior Certificate exams Applicants are invited to express their interest in an Electrical Apprenticeship with ESB Networks by submitting their details online by 13th March 2015 at:http://www.esb.ie/main/careers/current-vacancies.jsp
