Disruption to Water Supply – Friday 28th February until Sunday March 2nd 2014

Councillor Deirdre Heney advises that Dublin City Council reports that becuase of a break on a large water distribution main (1000mm) off James St, customers will experience disruption to water supply from today until Sunday 2nd March, resulting in reduced pressures and the possibility of temporary water loss due to necessary water shutdowns, which will facilitate repair of the main.

The areas on the northside most likely to be worst affected include:

Cabra; Glasnevin; Phibsboro; Drumcondra; parts of Doneycarney; Santry and parts of Beaumont;

Work began on the repairs at 6.30am this morning and is likely to continue well into Sunday evening.
