Grants available to homeowners from Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)
Councillor Deirdre Heney wishes to advise constituents that the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) provides a range of grants for homeowners. Depending on the circumstances, property and requirements of individual homeowners.
Home energy grants: Individual grants for insulation, heating controls, heat pumps and solar. These grants range in amount from €400 to €6,000 and typically cover around a third of the cost of the works in an average home.
Free upgrades for eligible homes: This nationwide scheme delivers free energy efficiency improvements to the homes of people who are in receipt of certain social welfare payments.
Deep retrofit: This grant supports homeowners who are doing a major renovation of their whole home and want to significantly improve the energy rating up to an A-rating. Successful applicants will receive a 50% grant towards the cost of energy upgrade works
