Griffith Avenue Tree Survey

Cllr. Heney wishes to advise constituents that the recorded tree survey of the trees along Griffith Avenue commenced last week and will take a further 2 to 3 weeks to complete. Dublin City Council’s Parks Dept. advise that “the survey has identified a good number of trees that require essential pruning works. The clearing out of crowns and targeted pruning to remove dead wood and hangers will commence next week.”.

The Parks Department say that the survey has also identified a small number of trees in significant decline that will need to be replaced but that it is not proposed to remove any trees until the survey has been completed and that any tree that unfortunately has to be removed will be replaced later this year.
