Water mains leakage reduction programme – Adare Drive, Adare Green, Bunratty Drive and Coolock Drive

Councillor Deirdre Heney wishes to advise constituents that Irish Water and Dublin City Council will begin works to replace ageing water mains on Adare Drive, Adare Green, Bunratty Drive and Coolock Drive. Dublin City Council says works are scheduled to commence at the end of October 2019.

The existing pipes will be replaced with new high density polyethylene (plastic) pipes. The works will also involve laying new water service connections from the public water main in the street to outside property boundaries and connecting it to the water supply. Where there is lead on the public side of the service connection this will be removed as part of the improvement works.

These works will be carried out by GMC Construction Ltd. on behalf of Irish Water. The works are expected to take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
