Watermain improvement works on the Clontarf Road Saturday 24 April

Cllr. Heney wishes to advise constituents that Irish Water is carrying out essential watermain improvement works on the Clontarf Road tomorrow Saturday, 24 April.

The works are a continuation of the replacement of old cast iron watermains (which have been prone to bursts), with new heavy duty plastic pipes. Over 1.3km of watermains have already been successfully replaced in Clontarf. GMC Utilities will be carrying out the works on behalf of Irish Water. The works are planned to take place along Clontarf road on Saturday 24 April between 12pm and 6pm. Irish Water advises that properties on Clontarf Road from the Wooden Bridge to Vernon Avenue and surrounding areas may be impacted by intermittent disruption to their water supply while the works are being carried out.
Customers impacted by these works are being notified directly. Traffic management will be in place to facilitate the safe delivery of the works, while local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.

Irish Water’s customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 and/or Twitter @IWCare with any queries. For updates visit https://www.water.ie/water-supply/supply-and-service-update/
